Elizabeth Parks is a freelance publication designer and editor. Currently, she works as a designer and production manager for New City Community Press, producing four to six academic titles per year. She also serves as the managing editor for Redivider Journal, Emerson College’s graduate literary magazine. For the past two years, Elizabeth has freelanced for a variety of clients, including the Horn Book Magazine, the Reading Series at Emerson College, the Pennsylvania Association of PeriAnesthesia Nursing, Tree House Books, Mighty Writers, and the Mayor’s Office of Education in Philadelphia.
Elizabeth graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelors of Arts in Communication Studies from Temple University in January 2010. She will complete her Masters of Arts in Publishing & Writing from Emerson College in May 2012. She currently teaches freshman composition in the First-Year Writing Program at Emerson College.
Elizabeth worked through her undergraduate and graduate programs as a part-time barista, and has been employed by Stumptown coffee shops in both Philadelphia and Boston. Her passion for a perfect shot of espresso and ambition to pour symmetrical rosetta have since turned into a hobby, and drive her search for the best cup of coffee in any city she visits.
